The Amazon Pepper Company is located in the old world city of Cartagena de Indias. Bathed in the sun and by the warm clear waters of the Caribbean Sea, the rich Colombian soil produces a wide range of peppers which our Group has been cultivating and processing industrially, in large quantities, for the world market, since 1992.

Utilizing its years of experience and knowledge of the unique qualities of capsicum, Amazon Pepper brand was born in early 1994. The product made their successful debut at the Fiery Food Show in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Show after show, people continue acclaiming the Fiery Green Sauce, as an out of competition product. This sauce was the inspiration for Randy Wayne White, editor of the Outside Magazine, who said about the product: ..."Recently, traveling through Colombia, I came across a local concoction that I believe was the best hot sauce I have ever tried. It was a pungent green, quiet hot but not too hot. It had the fragrance of rich vinegar and crushed pepper blooms. It was simple. It was pure. Its name was AJI AMAZONA". And also: "I think I’ve found a hot sauce that’s uncomfortable close to perfection". The Outside Magazine (Dr. Pepper) June 1997. (This same article appeared on the READERS DIGEST on November 97).

In January 1999, at the Chile Pepper Magazine Hot Sauce contest "Scovie Awards", the Hot n’ Sweet Amazon Sauce was awarded a first price and the Green Amazon Sauce a third price.

The Amazon Pepper Line is currently being sold in the U.S.A., Japan, Chile, Canada, Belgium, France, Spain, El Salvador, Saudi Arabia and of course in Colombia where Amazon is the leading brand.
